Sumit Nagal is just one match away from making the Australian Open 2024 main draw. The 26-year-old claimed an easy straight-set win over hometown wildcard Edward Winter to easily pass through round two of qualifying.
Nagal has been in fine form this week and is yet to drop a set. He beat Geoffrey Blancaneaux of France in the last round and will face either John Millman or Alex Molcan in the final round of qualifying.
Sumit Nagal is continuing from where he left off in 2023. The player ranked 139 enjoyed a successful season after disappointing results in 2020 and 2021. He ended the year with 46 wins, 13 of which came on hard courts.
