Official! Sumit Nagal named in French Open 2024 entry list alongside Nadal, Djokovic

French Open 2024: Sumit Nagal makes it to entry list of French Open 2024, Indian ace to feature alongside Djokovic & Nadal

It is official! India’s very own Sumit Nagal has been in French Open 2024’s entry list. He will be joining the mega tournament alongside the likes of Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. This will be Sumi Nagal’s debut at Ronald Garros. Courtesy of an ATP Ranking of 80, the Indian ace has got himself an automatic selection.

Sumit Nagal makes it to French Open

Sumit Nagal has been on a roll with impressive performances off late. Courtesy of his performances and rankings, he will now become the second Indian to feature in the French Grand Slam. Back in 2019, Prajnesh Gunneswaran featured in the Men’s Singles Main Draw.

The 26-year-old Indian tennis star will be featuring at the Roland-Garros with the likes of Novak Djokovic. On the other hand, Rafael Nadal got his chance via protected rankings.

Making his debut at the clay-court grand slam, Sumit Nagal will be keen to put up a good show. With the entire country pinning their hopes on him, he will surely make the best out of the situation in this historic moment.

As for the French Open, players get a chance in the main draw with a cut off of 99 ranking. The Roland-Garros is slated to take place from 20th May to 9th June 2024.
