Fans love to watch sports crossovers. A week ago, Indian Olympian Neeraj Chopra met with football legend Sunil Chhetri, and the whole internet went gaga over it. Now, the Bengaluru FC captain has met the reigning Australian Open 2024 champion, the world’s oldest Grand Slam champion, and No. 1 Rohan Bopanna.
The two legendary sportsmen met before the Bengaluru FC vs Chennaiyin FC match in the Indian Super League (ISL). Rohan Bopanna met with Sunil Chhetri before the start of play and gifted a Bengaluru FC jersey with his name on it.
Chettri is looking to take Bengaluru FC to the ISL playoffs. His side is currently placed 6th on the points table and has a good chance to make the final four. Meanwhile, Bopanna is fresh off his maiden men’s Grand Slam doubles title with Matthew Ebden.
The tennis star became the oldest Grand Slam men’s doubles champion and the oldest number one in January, breaking several records. Rohan Bopanna is now looking to win India’s first gold medal in tennis at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
