Warner was badly humiliated as he not only dropped from XI but was also asked to stay in hotel in middle of IPL in UAE. Warner has now hit back SRH in a subtle manner.

The 35-year-old is having the last laugh now against his IPL team. Warner quietly liked a tweet from leading Indian journalist Boria Majumdar who pointed out Warner was unwanted by his IPL team with the subtext that it was a big mistake.

It was the only tweet Warner liked the day after Australia booked a spot in Monday morning’s final against New Zealand – clearly indicatiing that WARNER – SUNRISERS have parted not on a too good a note –

Warner turns the tide – NZ vs AUS LIVE: Not only this tweet but SRH’s fans & former cricketer also took dig at the team management by asking was it write for them to treat the champion batsman so poorly.

Aussie legend Brett Lee also recently showed his displeasure over treatment to Warner by his IPL team.

“he’s a class player, you don’t lose class overnight,” Lee told SEN. “The thing I’ll say about David Warner is he was so poorly treated throughout the IPL.

“To firstly get stripped of his captaincy, then to be dropped from the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, not being allowed to go to the ground – if you want to wreck someone’s confidence for a few games, that’s the best way to do it.

“He’s always been one of the top run getters in the T20 format, certainly in the IPL.

NZ vs AUS LIVE – Will Warner Continue his form in the Finals? If Australia has to lift the T20 World Cup trophy, they will expect the opener to fire in the finals. As captain Aaron Finch is struggling for runs – onus will be on Warner to give a explosive start to the Australian innings in the finals.

  • Warner in T20 World Cup 2021 – 6 M / 236 Runs / 47.2 Av / 148 SR
  • Warner vs New Zealand in T20’s – 7 M / 158 Runs / 22.2 Av / 158 SR

Australia has never won the men’s T20 World Cup since its first edition in 2007. Justin Langer’s side entered the tournament having lost three-consecutive T20I series in this year alone.

Australia has grown into the tournament, bouncing back from a heavy defeat against England in the Super 12 stage with three wins in a row to make the final – COURTESTY some gutsy knocks by DAVID WARNER.

And now it will be once more up to Australia’s pockey dynamo to give start which can deliver Aussies their 1st T20 title.
