He actually took the catch, one-handed while leaning backwards, but soon realised that he was falling on the ropes. He made the decision in a fraction of a second with the calm and composed mindset to throw it right back to the wicket-keeper. James Neesham’s delivery was hit with precision but Mitchell was determined to save four runs for Blackcaps in the Team India decider for T20 World Cup.

The Blackcaps didn’t give Afghanistan any runs for granted and played their A-game to continue their hopes of a maiden T20 World Cup title. In fact, they have been tremendous throughout the tournament.
