T20 World Cup LIVE – Fighter Mohammed Rizwan: Mohammed Rizwan had a tough few days in the build-up to the semi-final against Australia in Dubai. Rizwan was down with a flu but no one knew that he was admitted in hospital & was in Intensive Care Unit. Few pics on Social media have revealed that, 30 year old Rizwan was in ICU for a lung condition and within 24 hours he cameback to score brilliant knock for Pakistan vs Australia in Semifinals of World Cup on Thursday.

Mohammed Rizwan health: But during the innings break, Pakistan batting coach and former Australian opener Matthew Hayden revealed that Mohammed Rizwan had been in the ICU 24 hours earlier with a lung condition. He said, “This is a warrior. He‘s been brilliant through the campaign and he has great courage.”

Pakistan team doctor Najeeb Somroo later revealed Rizwan had spent two days in a hospital intensive care unit due to a chest infection. Somroo said, “Mohammad Rizwan developed a severe chest infection on November 9th after which he was admitted to the hospital. He spent two nights in the ICU recovering. “

He added, “He made an incredible recovery and was deemed fit before the match. We can see his great determination and tenacity that shows his spirit of performing for the country. And we can see how he performed today. The decision regarding his health was made by the whole team management. This was regarding the morale of the whole team and therefore we kept it within the team.”

Eagle-eyed netizens noticed some swelling on Rizwan’s right cheek, with the likes of Shoaib Akhtar and captain Babar Azam lauding his efforts.

The Pakistan captain said, “Definitely he’s a team man. The way he played today, it was exceptional. When I saw him, he was a little bit down, but when I asked him about his health he said, ‘No, I will play’. And the way he played today he showed that he’s a team man. And I am very confident about his attitude and his performance.”

En route his 67, Rizwan stitched a vital 72-run stand with Fkahar Zaman, who later pulled off an assault to get Pakistan to 176. Rizwan became the first cricketer to aggregate more than 1000 runs in T20I cricketer in the same calendar year, having scored 1003 runs in 20 T20I innings at an average of 86.08.
