Namibia arrived in Melbourne on September 29. While teams from Afghanistan and Ireland arrived Down Under on September 30.

Namibia went into the Super 12s of 2021 competition in the United Arab Emirates. That’s why Gerhard Erasmus will again captain the African team for the forthcoming T20 World Cup. Along with left-arm seamer Ruben Trumpelmann, who was hired by Desert Vipers for the upcoming International League T20 in the UAE, T20 globetrotter David Wiese is also a member of the 16-member squad.
