T-Mobile, the telecom giant, who was a major sponsor of both the Overwatch League and the Call of Duty League, has ended their sponsorship with both of these leagues recently, suggest Reports. T-Mobile is headquartered in Germany and is the largest network provider in the US. It was one of the biggest partners of the Call of Duty league and was the Official 5G sponsor of the same. The branding of T-Mobile has suddenly disappeared from both the Call of Duty League and Overwatch League websites along with banners. There are a lot of sponsors in the Call of Duty League that includes USAA Insurance, Astro Gaming, Game Fuel, U.S Army, SCUF Gaming, Google Cloud and Zenni Gaming. Most of the sponsor logos are displayed on their website. As of July 21, the T-Mobile logo was visible in the Call of Duty League website along with other sponsors. But looking into their website on or after July 31, players can see that the T-Mobile logo has been removed, while other logos are still at their place.

T-Mobile also sponsored a 5G Weekly Drop Activation in the Call of Duty League tournaments, where the viewers needed to text a certain code to a number and they could have a chance to win various gifts including gaming headsets, mobile phones, gamepad controllers and even a chance to watch the Call of Duty Champs live. This week, the Stage V Major Tournament cancelled the weekly drop event with no proper explanation from Call of Duty.

The T-Mobile logo is also gone from the Overwatch league official website in the sponsor section. Though the logo is visible on the front page, it is also expected to disappear soon. T-Mobile has still not officially confirmed their end of sponsorship from both the leagues. It is speculated that the decision of the telecom giant might be influenced by the recent sexual harassment lawsuit that was filed against Activision Blizzard by the state of California.
