Just before the half-time break during the Europa League Juventus vs Sporting match, Juventus goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny went down. He then started calling frantically for medical attention towards the Juventus bench.  His teammate Manuel Locatelli was the first to reach the goalkeeper to help him.

As the physicians and all other players from both teams went to check if the player was okay, Szczesny was taken off. The goalkeeper left the pitch in the 44th minute in tears while he was still clutching his chest. He was taken to the hospital from there and the medical experts did an electrocardiogram. Fortunately, the results did not show any irregularities.

As Szczesny walked away from the pitch, the spectators applauded the player. After the medical test, Juventus quickly put up a tweet saying, “After an initial check, Tek is doing well.” As the player came off, their Portuguese opponent Sporting also took to their tweeter to send an encouraging message toward the player saying, “Forca, Szczesny.”

As per reports, Szczesny felt his heart rate increase and quickly felt a shortage of breath. After the initial testing was done, the goalkeeper talked to some reporters and provided some updates on his health saying, “I was worried, I was not able to breathe but now I feel good. The tests confirmed that there’s no problem.”
