SRH vs RR: Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their opening encounter of the Indian Premier League. Facing Rajasthan Royals, the Orange Army were never in the competition as they went on to give away 200+ runs in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, SRH lost some early wickets which put a lot of pressure on Mayank Agarwal and English batter Harry Brook. The duo tried to form a partnership but they never got going. Eventually, Brook’s misery was ended by Yuzvendra Chahal as he cleaned him up with a peach. Follow Indian Premier League 2023 Live Updates with Insidesport.IN

The right-handed batter came to crease in the first over only after losing two wickets. Brook looked comfortable in the middle but chewed up a lot of balls for his 13 runs. His struggle came to an end after he tried to cut a slider from Chahal but ended up losing his poles.

As mentioned above, the last time finalists breached the 200-run mark in their allotted 20 overs. RR openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler gave a fast start to the Royals as they both also completed their fifties. RR skipper Sanju Samson was also excellent with the bat as he stroked a half-century too.

For SRH, T Natarajan was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped two crucial wickets in his four over spell. Fazalhaq Farooqi also scalped two wickets which included the big wicket of Buttler. Umran Malik bowled three overs and scalped one wicket before spending 32 runs.
Meanwhile, SRH will be breathing a sigh of relief as their skipper Aiden Markram is expected to join the Orange Army before the start of the next game. Currently, Markram is playing for South Africa in a rescheduled ODI series against the Netherlands.
