SRH vs MI: Rohit Sharma – In a massive boost for Mumbai Indians (MI), Rohit Sharma is fit to play against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in today’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match. Rohit suffered a stomach bug and came as an impact player in MI’s last match against KKR. However, there is no sign of Jofra Archer, as the pacer has issues with his elbow. Meanwhile, SRH opener Mayank Agarwal will likely get one last game to get back to form against MI. Follow SRH vs MI & IPL 2023 Live Updates with InsideSport.IN.
Last chance for Agarwal to repay the faith put in SRH management
For the uninitiated, Agarwal has failed to get going in four matches for SRH. The right hand has scores of 27, 8, 21, & 9. Agarwal’s low return is putting extra pressure on Harry Brook, Rahul Tripathi, and Aiden Markram. With SRH winning two games, skipper Markram might not tinker with winning combinations, and give Agarwal one last chance to prove his worth as an opening batter. Apart from Agarwal conundrum, SRH are likely to go with the same squad.
SRH vs MI: Jofra Archer set to miss few games for MI, Riley Meredith to play in place of England pacer
Currently, Archer is being managed by the medical team, and MI all-rounder Tim David said the pacer is unlikely to play against SRH. “At the moment, Jof is being managed by the medical team, and I am not a part of those conversations. Whenever they have him ready to play, he will be ready to go,” David said during a press conference.
Australia pacer Riley Meredith played against KKR and bowled well conceding 39 in four overs. The fast bowler was good at death overs. Meredith is likely to keep his place against SRH. Duan Jansen was a bit expensive against KKR conceding over 50 runs in his four overs. Rohit Sharma could bring Behrendorff back or might go in with the extra batter of Stubbs.
Arjun Tendulkar is likely to get another game against SRH. The left-arm pacer bowled two overs and gave away 17 runs.
