SRH vs GT Live: Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya on Monday showcased his terrific form with the bat by scoring his maiden fifty for Gujarat Titans. While this fifty off 42 balls was his slowest=ever fifty in IPL, during the knock, the all-rounder  became the third-fastest Indian to hit 100 sixes in IPL. SRH v GT LIVE: Hardik Pandya THIRD FASTEST to 100 IPL sixes, as GT captain scores slowest 50 of career – check records

He brought his half-century in the penultimate ball of the innings with a single and finished with 50 off 42 balls to help his team score 162 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. However this half-century by Pandya is his slowest-ever fifty in IPL.

The skipper came in to bat when the team lost two wickets for 47 runs in 5.4 overs. He stabilised the innings initially with Matthew Wade and then shared a crucial 40-run stand with David Miller and was then involved in a 50-run partnership with Abhinav Manohar.

Hardik Pandya is enjoying his time in the current edition of the IPL. Having faced injuries and being unable to bowl in the last two editions, he took a break from international cricket after the T20 World Cup and worked on his fitness and is now bowling his full quota of overs every game. Apart from that, his batting form too has improved as he has taken up a new role for his franchise by batting at number 4.

From being the finisher during his time with the Mumbai Indians and with the Indian cricket team, he has took up this new role and is doing it effectively. He has now scored 141 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 122.6.

As a skipper, he is also currently the only captain to not lose even a single match in the tournament as his team has won all the three matches and find themselves at the second spot on the points table.
