Tottenham Hotspur’s situation worsens by the day as now they have just won 2 out of their last 11 matches throughout all competitions. It was a dramatic affair with Liverpool where two goals came from both sides in the dying moments. Spurs came back from trailing 3-0 with Richarlison equalized at the 90+3rd minute. However, Liverpool’s Jota took just another minute to score the winning goal for them. Now, Spurs are sitting in the 6th place with a 5-point gap from the 5th-placed Liverpool. They might not play in any European competition next year.
Crystal Palace are sitting in the 11th position in the league table with a 5-point gap from the 10th-placed Fulham and a 19-point gap from the 5th-placed Liverpool. Hence, they have no chance of getting into the European competition qualifying zone. However, their last four wins in six matches have seen them move above 12th-placed Chelsea who are trailing by just one point. Palace will be travelling in the hopes of a win, but they have not won the seven times these two sides met. Palace actually have not won against Spurs since 1997.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News
- Spurs’ list of injured players is long and increasing. Rodrigo Bentancur and Emerson Royal are yet to recover from their knee injuries which have kept them out of the game for a long time. Ryan Sessegnon suffering from a hamstring issue and Yves Bissouma suffering from an ankle problem are in the same boat as Royal and Bentancur.
- Spurs’ first-choice goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris is also out from a hip injury that still hasn’t healed. A new name on the list is Oliver Skipp who was fouled by Jota in the last match and saw blood streaming down his face. Reportedly, he is also a doubt for Saturday’s match and the coach will take a late decision.
- Richarlison may have scored his first goal in the last match, but he also managed to collect his second yellow card this season, both for goal celebration by removing his shirt. Hence, that could have marred his chances of starting in the place of Dejan Kulusevski. Eric Dier could also be losing his starting spot after another disappointing performance in the last match.
Crystal Palace Team News
- Nathan Ferguson is suffering from a torn muscle which could leave him out for the rest of the season same as James Tomkins who has been ruled out owing to an unspecified issue. Naouirou Ahamada is suffering from an ankle problem which will be assessed later and the decision on his inclusion in the match will be taken later.
- Wilfried Zaha returned to the pavilion with style as he even scored a goal in the last match. However, then he sustained a knock to the knee. He is recovering and could be included in Saturday’s match. Whereas, Nathaniel Clyne who was recovering from a knee issue of his own, has returned to train with the team.
- Coach Hodgson had his strongest team in his arsenal against West Ham United in the last match and he has the same options for Saturday. Hence, it doesn’t seem that he will be making any changes to the first team against Spurs.
