Miami Open Draws: The Women’s Singles draw for the Miami Open 2023 has been unveiled. World No.1 Iga Swiatek leads the first quarter of the draws. She is likely to face Elena Rybakina in the quarterfinal of the tournament. Rybakina defeated her twice this year. Both the player are placed in the same quarter. First Quarter

Iga Swiatek & Indian Wells Champion Elena Rybakina lead first quarter 

Section 1

Defending champion Iga Swiatek has been give a bye to the second round. The 21-year old will be facing the winner between Katerina Siniakova and Claire Liu in her first match in the tournament. The Pole is likely to set up clash against 25th seed Martina Trevisan in the second round of the tournament.

13th seed Beatriz Haddad Maia and 24th seed Jelena Ostapenko are the top seeds in the first section of the top quarter. Both the players will begin their campaign from the second round.

Section 2

Daria Kasatkina is the top seed in Section 2 of the first quarter. However 10th seed Elena Rybakina grabs eye balls following her Indian Wells Masters vvictory. Rybakina will face the winner between Anna Kalinskaya and Victoria Kasintseva in the second round.

Kasatkina meanwhile will open her campaign by facing either Alycia Peters or Elyse Mertens. 21st seed Paula Badosa and Petra Martic are te other seeded players in this section of the first quarter.

Second Quarter

Jessica Pegula & Coco Gauff in second quarter 

Section 3

Third seed Jessica Pegula is the top seed in the second quarter of the draws. Pegula is likely yo face fellow American Danielle Collisn in the third round of the tournament. Collins is the 30th seed. However before that, Pegula might face Linda Fruhvirtova in the first round.

This year’s Australian Open semifinalists Victoria Azarenka and Magda Linette are also present in the same section inside the second quarter. 14th seed Azarenka will face the winner between Camilia Giorgi and Kaia Kanepi in the second round. Linette meanwhile is set to open her campaign against either Bernarda Pera or Evgeniya Rodina.

Section 4

Coco Gauff is in the second section of the second quarter. The sixth seed will face the winner between Yulia Putintseva or Rebecca Morina in the second round. Luidmila Samsonova is the next higher-ranked seed in this section.

She will face either a qualifier or wildcard entrant Hailey Baptise in the second round. Anastasia Potapova and Quinwen Zheng are the only other seeded players.

Bottom Half 

Third Quarter

Ons Jabeur headlines third quarter 

Section 5 

Seventh seed Maria Sakkari leads the top section of the third quarter. The seventh seeded Greek however will have a big task in her first match. She received a bye to the second round and will be up against either Bianca Andreescu or Emma Raducanu.

9th seed Belinda Bencic is the next top seed in the top section of third quarter. Bencic is likely to set up clash against Leylah Fernandez in the second round. 18th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova and 28th seed Anhelina Kalinina are also present in this section of the draws.

Section 6 

Meanwhile, Ons Jabeur is in the bottom section in the quarter. The fourth seed will be up against Maryna Zanevska or a qualifier in the second round. Jabeur is expected to make it to the fourth round easily. The other seeded players in the quarter are  15th seed Petra Kvitova, 22nd seed Donna Vekic and 26th seed Shuai Zhang. However, after the fourth round, the going is expected to get tough as she is in a tough quarter.

Fourth Quarter

Aryna Sabalenka and Caroline Garcia lead final quarter 

Fifth seed Caroline Garcia headlines the top section of the final quarter. Garcia will begin her campaign against either Contreras Gomez or Sorana Cirstea. 11th seed Veronika Kudermetova, 17th seed Karolin Pliskova and 32nd seed Zhu Lin are the other seeded players in this section.

Second seed Aryna Sabalenla, who finished as runner-up in the Indian Wells Masters is now tagetting the Miami Open title. The Blarusian will meet Shelby Rogers or Sloane Stephens in the second round.

This year’s Dubai Tennis Open title winner Barbora Krejcikova is the 16th seed. She is also in this section of the draws. Other seeded players include 19th seed Madison Keys nd 31st seed Marie Bouzkova.
