Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have legally parted ways. As of Thursday, they are no longer husband and wife after the court accepted their divorce petition.
Chahal Advocate Nitin Kumar Gupta confirmed and said to ANI, “The court has granted the decree of divorce. The court has accepted the joint petition of both parties. The parties are no longer husband and wife.”

Chahal and Verma tied the knot in December 2020 but had been living separately since June 2022. They officially filed for divorce in February 2025. Under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act, a six-month waiting period is usually required before granting a divorce. However, given their two-and-a-half-year separation and Chahal’s IPL commitments, the court waived the waiting period. The final hearing took place on March 20, just days before the IPL season kicked off on March 23.
