Ritika is the first cousin of sports events management company Cornerstone Sport’s CEO Bunty Sajdeh. Ritika was a well-known name of the sports world as she worked as a sports event manager for many. She is also cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s rakhi sister. In 2008, Rohit first met Ritika during an ad-shoot, latter was there as a sports event manager.
Once, while talking on a show, Rohit Sharma talked about the incident and said that back then Yuvraj Singh was also there and he had warned him to stay away from Ritika as she was his rakhi sister. This had left a rather poor impression of Ritika on Rohit. However, when they interacted during the ad shoot sometime later, he realised that she was sweet.
Rohit and Ritika dated for almost six years before getting married. It was later when Rohit proposed to Ritika and she said a big yes. This led to their lavish engagement on June 3, 2015. The wedding was a lavish affair too with whos and who of the industry present. The wedding took place on December 13, 2015.
In 2018, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, whom they have named Samaira.
Ever since then, Ritika has been present in all the Indian matches and sits there with her fingers crossed.
