Former legendary Indian batter and captain Sunil Gavaskar visited the Mahakumbh Mela happening in Prayagraj and took a holy dip. The Mahakumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj is a grand Hindu festival held every 12 years at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. Currently, it is a centre of attraction, drawing big names, from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to other ministers. Many cricketers, from Anil Kumble to RP Singh, have also recently been seen taking a holy dip at the Mahakumbh.
Not long ago, legendary spinner Anil Kumble, accompanied by his wife Chethana, took a holy dip in the Sangam during the Maha Kumbh. Kumble shared glimpses of his visit on X on Wednesday, which included performing a ritual at the ghat, and captioned his post with the word “Blessed.”
As mentioned, former India pacer and member of the T20 World Cup-winning team, RP Singh, also visited the Maha Kumbh. It has come to light that nearly 46 to 47 crore people have visited the Maha Kumbh so far, and this number is expected to rise in the upcoming days.
