@14:45, Dec 29: Woodlands Hospitals, where Ganguly is currently admitted due to his underlying heart condition, said in a statement that the former captain received monoclonal antibody treatment.

“Sourav is stable. He underwent angioplasty earlier this year. So as a precautionary measure he has been admitted to Woodlands,” Snehasish Ganguly, who had also contracted Covid earlier this year, told The Indian Express.

“He was taken to Woodlands Nursing Home last night. He has been given medication and is currently stable,” a BCCI source, who is keeping track of Ganguly’s health, told PTI.
Ganguly was admitted to hospital twice earlier this year and underwent emergency angioplasty after having some cardiac issues. His elder brother Snehasish Ganguly had also tested positive for COVID early this year.

Sourav Ganguly COVID positive- Woodlands Hospital released a statement saying that Ganguly is currently in a stable condition. A medical board comprising Saroj Mondal, Dr Devi Shetty are keeping a close eye on his condition considering his past history of heart condition.
The 48-year-old had earlier had undergone an angioplasty after a heart attack. He was hospitalised on January 2 with “chest discomfort, heaviness of head, vomiting and a spell of dizziness” while performing physical exercise in the home gymnasium. He underwent a second round of angioplasty and two stents were inserted in coronary arteries.
Ganguly is currently serving as the president of BCCI since 2019, after serving as Secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal. The recent development comes as a sharp blow to BCCI ahead of the ODI team announcement for South Africa tour.

Sourav Ganguly COVID positive- The development comes amid rising Omicron cases in the country. A total of 6,358 new COVID-19 cases were reported in India in the last 24 hours, taking the active caseload in the country to 75,456, as per the Union Health Ministry.
His elder brother Snehasish Ganguly had also tested positive for COVID earlier this year.
