The West Indies debutant was smashed on the front of the helmet grille on Sunday. He was stretched off and immediately rushed to the hospital after suffering a huge blow at the short leg. Jeremy Solozano was on the floor after the damage. The Scoop stretcher was out to carry him off the field. Later in the day, Jeremy Solozano’s scans showed no structural damage but he was kept at the hospital overnight for observation.

Jeremy Solozono was hit really hard during the 12th over by Dimuth Karunaratne of Roston Chase’s delivery. As per reports, the rear part of the helmet came off during the incident.
A towel was pressed onto his head, surrounded by the entire West Indies team as well as the Sri Lanka batters. A worried coach Phil Simmons rushed down the stairs. The medical staff tried to examine the proceedings and he was immediately taken to the hospital.
“He has been taken to the hospital for scans. We are hoping for a speedy recovery. Shai Hope is the substitute fielder at this time,” West Indies cricket wrote on Twitter.
