However, one has to be fair as well. Sindhu received the drift assistance in the first game. When the sides were changed in the second, she could not bring that dominant factor.

Wang looked superior in the third game. She knew it was matter of make or break. Her objective was to force the game into a decider, and there was a spring in her step as well. She took a 3-0 lead initially and that was quickly converted into a 6-1 lead.

It was not any easy for Sindhu as Wang came up with an improved show, taking a 11-3 lead. Sindhu tried her best to change the momentum, and it worked slightly, but it did not prove to be enough as Wang clinched the game 21-11.

The third game was the tightest among the three. It witnessed some of the best badminton by both players, who were at the top of their game, both at defence and offence. They were having a good go at one another with the scores tied on 4-4.

They were not giving one another any inch, but as the game progressed, Sindhu gained control. She took a 11-6 lead and her smashes worked beautifully, which was targeted at Wang’s body. The Chinese shuttler did not have any room to swing, hence helping Sindhu take some important points and some points later, the title as well.
