Shabaash Mithu chronicles the journey of legendry cricketer Mithali Raj. It will also tell the story of women’s cricket back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Earlier, the makers of the movie also released the first poster of the film. Taapsee can be seen wearing the blue jersey and playing a shot. Apart from the actor, Vijay Raaz will also be seen in the movie playing a pivotal role.

Shabassh Mithu is directed by Rahul Dholakia and written by Priya Aven. The movie is expected to release in March-April 2022.
Women’s World Cup 2022: Mithali Raj gearing up for a perfect swansong
Meanwhile, India skipper Mithali Raj is leading her side in New Zealand in the ongoing Women’s World Cup 2022. The team got off to a perfect start as they beat archrivals Pakistan by 107 runs.
