Sevilla vs Roma: The most successful club in the history of UEFA Europa League are now setting on to win their 7th title. They will be taking on Roma with some extra motivation since their run in La Liga has been quite poor this season. They will want to end the season on a high with the help of a mostly fit squad. Only defenders Marcao and Tanguy Nianzou are in the recovering phase for the Spanish side. Follow UEFA Europa League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

Sevilla are in the UEFA Europa League final for the 7th time in their history. That is two times more than any other club. Additionally, they are also looking for their 7th Europa League trophy. This means they have won every time they reached the final previously. The first time they lifted the trophy was in 2006 when Jesus Navas, their current captain lifted the trophy at only 20 years of age. Their latest trophy came three years ago in the season 2019-20.
They will be extra determined to win the title this year as they have had one of their poorest seasons in recent times in La Liga. With just one match left to play in the league, they are currently sitting in the 11th position in the league table with the same points as the 9th-placed Girona.
Winning the Europa League will reserve them a place in next year’s Champions League. Hence, they will be heavily banking on that. However, if they fail to win the final, depending on other teams’ results in the last La Liga matchweek, Sevilla can still get the chance to participate in Europa Conference League’s play-off.
Sevilla were in danger of being relegated at one stage this season. They turned out after the arrival of their third coach of the season, Jose Luis Mendilibar. Mendilibar has been able to revive the team by churning out the perfect squad for different competitions. For example, he has made Yassine Bounou the go-to goalkeeper for the Europa League. Hence, he will probably take his place under the goalpost for this fixture instead of Marko Dmitrovic. He will be making several more changes from their squad against Real Madrid in the last match.

The coach will probably drop Rafa Mir to make way for their top scorer Youssef En-Nesyri. The Moroccan striker has proved himself in the European competition as well. He has scored twice against Manchester United in the quarter-final and once against Juventus in the semi-final. As one of the oldest outfield players starting in a Europa League match, at the age of 37 years and 191 days on the matchday, Jesus Navas will be captaining his team from the right-back position.
Since his arrival at the start of this season, Marcao has been suffering from one injury after another. He will only be back in July as he’s now recovering from a muscular issue. Another player who’s been recovering from an injury of his own is Tanguy Nianzou. Adding to these two, Marcos Acuna will also have to serve out his suspension during this fixture as he was sent off during their match against Juventus. Sevilla also have two players – Pape Gueye and Tecactito who are ineligible to play in this competition.
Sevilla Predicted XI: Bounou; Navas, Bade, Gudelj, Telles; Fernando, Rakitic; Ocampos, Torres, Gil; En-Nesyri
