Former F1 driver Sebastian Vettel visited former teammate and friend Daniel Ricciardo in Silverstone. The duo shared a fun chit-chat and a few moments of sheer joy as it appeared on Ricciardo’s face before he headed out for the test. The “Honey Badger” had quite a day at Silverstone, starting with a taste of the dominant RB19, and landing an F1 seat for the remainder of the season hours later.
As earlier scheduled, the Aussie star took the RB19 for a Pirelli test at Silverstone after the race weekend. This was a highly-anticipated one for the fans and the team. Team boss Christian Horner previously said that the test was more about getting to understand how impressive he can be in a Red Bull years after his last drive for the team. However, he did rule out any plans to bring him back to the team and offer him Perez’s seat as of now.
After a day of Daniel taking over the wheel and putting in some exceptional laps, the Red Bull family did conclude to offer him an F1 seat mid-season. Ricciardo will be racing for Scuderia Alpha Tauri on loan from Red Bull starting this week’s Hungarian GP. Since the news broke out, it has sent the fans into a frenzy. However, before the Team announced that, another heartwarming event already made the day for F1 fanatics.

Sebastian Vettel visited Red Bull and Mercedes Camps
Vettel has been an integral part of Red Bull in the past. Winning four consecutive driver’s and constructors’ championships, he made the team familiar with the wave of dominance for the first time. Yesterday, memories came rushing back when pictures of Vettel and Ricciardo were released. The duo shared a seat at the Red Bull for the entire 2014 season before Vettel moved on to live his Ferrari dream.
Back in the day, the two drivers fought fiercely on the grid but also shared a great camaraderie on the track. Now, seeing them together brought a flood of emotions for the fans, owing to the immense love their fans hold for the two greats. Additionally, Vettel and Ricciardo will share a garage later this year at the Red Bull Nordschleife run.
Apart from Red Bull, Vettel was also seen visiting the Mercedes camp. The German was there to see his young friend Mick Schumacher. Mick was doing the same job for Mercedes as Ricciardo for Red Bull, the Pirelli test. Notably, Vettel and Schumacher will take part in the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this year. The duo will drive some legendary cars, and the event will see Mick’s emotional union with his father’s Mercedes W02. Tell us how happy were you to see Seb back in the paddock.
