Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ittihad confident of roping in Liverpool’s Mo Salah

Despite signing a new contract with Liverpool, Saudi Pro League club Al Ittihad is hopeful of getting Mohamed Salah.

According to reports, Al Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League are ‘increasingly optimistic’ of signing Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah. For the past few weeks, Salah has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. However, Liverpool’s stance on Salah has not changed. The Premier league outfit has not considered letting him move away from Anfield.

Liverpool has already sold two players to the league this summer, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. They agreed to join Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq. Salah, however, would be the most significant of the three. Given that the attacker is still at the top of his powers, he might be the league’s biggest signing yet this season.

Salah is pondering a lucrative offer from Al-Ittihad seriously and may soon join the league as its next great star. The 31-year-old reportedly turned off approaches earlier in the transfer window. Ramy Abbas Issa, Salah’s agent, officially rejected any action on Twitter.

Al-Ittihad intends to provide him with the most substantial salary in the Saudi Pro League. According to reports, representatives of the Saudi club have already held talks with his agents in Doha and have successfully negotiated a deal to offer him a higher wage than even Cristiano Ronaldo. Their conviction is that Salah will find the prospect of playing in a Muslim country, coupled with an impressive income, extremely enticing.

Mohamed Salah scored his first Premier League goal of the 23/24 season in Liverpool’s 3-1 triumph over Bournemouth at Anfield last weekend. He has been one of the top players in the world since joining Liverpool in a reported £34.3 million deal in 2017.

Salah has 187 goals in 307 games while winning the Premier League and the Champions League. In addition, there is the FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Community Shield, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
