SRJ Sports Investments of Saudi Arabia has reportedly paid $100 million for minority ownership in the Professional Fighters League, a mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation.
The PFL was established in 2018, and it ranks second worldwide to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
PFL Mena debuted in Europe last year, and it will start in 2024.
Every year, there is a regular PFL season in which fighters compete, followed by playoffs and a championship.
The league, which has athletes from all over the world, streams and broadcasts its matches to 150 nations and has more than 20 worldwide media distribution partners.

Investment Of $100M Made By Saudi Arabia To UFC Rival PFL MMA
Abdullah al Qahtani and Mostafa Rashed Neda are the only two fighters from Saudi Arabia currently competing in the PFL.
The Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia, which recently created SRJ Sports Investments, has acquired a minority ownership position in the Mixed Martial Arts endeavour from the Professional Fighters League. SRJ’s initial investment is in PFL.
SRJ is putting more than $100 million into PFL, according to a person with knowledge of the deal who was given anonymity because the specifics are confidential. Regarding the extent of the investment, a PFL representative declined to disclose.

A Middle East/North Africa (MENA) PFL league and the firm’s “Super Fight” pay-per-view arm will both be launched next year thanks to the investment in the PFL parent company. Additionally, the money will be used to enhance PFL celebrity attendance and MMA involvement in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region. In the upcoming years, Saudi Arabia will also host and sponsor a “substantial” number of PFL PPV tournaments.
