The 28-year-old Samson gave a good account of himself with a fine fifty. Leading the side, he scored 72 on a difficult wicket.
Batting at No.5, Samson smashed 7 sixes in 108-ball stay at the crease. He will be disappointed to have missed out on a ton. Nonetheless it is a good start on his return to Ranji Trophy.
