‘Sack Rahul Dravid’ Indian fans frustrated with experimentations of India coach

Fans are asking for Indian Head Coach Rahul Dravid's head after India suffered a horrific defeat at the hands of the West Indies, a team that failed to even make the ODI World Cup 2023.

Indian head coach Rahul Dravid has come under the wrath of Indian cricket fans on social media. After a humiliating defeat in the IND vs WI 2nd ODI, fans are asking the former Indian skipper to be sacked. Dravid’s tenure as head coach hasn’t been as fruitful as fans expected. Much to the agony of fans, Dravid came out after India’s defeat and said that they were not thinking about every loss.

However, fans are calling for Dravid to be sacked for various reasons. While some fans claim unfair treatment towards former skipper Virat Kohli, others question the resting of Rohit Sharma and Kohli. Some allege favouritism for Surya Kumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, or Ishan Kishan, while others question the management’s bias towards Ruturaj Gaikwad. Fans turned on one of the most successful Indian batter and #sackdravid started trending on twitter.

Is Rahul Dravid destroying Indian Cricket?

With the Asia Cup and World Cup coming up, fans are fearing that Rahul Dravid may lead India into another disappointing campaign. India has already underperformed in two World Cups (T20) and the Asia Cup last year under him, and twin failures now could well mean an end to his tenure.

Dravid defended his decisions and asked fans not to focus on one single loss.

“We will always look into the bigger picture and we cannot think about every single game and series.” Dravid said.

“In the series like this, with only two-three matches to go before the world cup and Asia cup, playing Virat and Rohit would not have given us answers,” the former skipper added.
