South Africa will be more than happy with their score on the board. Winning the toss they elected to bat first but lost opener Markram early. However, Malan and Reeza Hendricks stood tall and wove a 96-run stand between them before the latter departed. Hendricks dismissal soon saw a smile after Klaasen’s arrival who smashed the big hits and returned after scoring 43 runs. Malan, however, stretched his innings and smashed his hundred. The last few overs brought visitors in the contest as they amassed 97 off the last 10 overs.
With the ball, the hosts- Dushmantha Chameera claimed two big wickets in one over and returned with an economy of 7.40.
