KL Rahul captaincy: KL Rahul’s damaging start to his captaincy career meant that the now Lucknow captain invited criticism from all corners. Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar was particularly blatant in his assessment and said that Rahul “looked out of ideas” as India were trashed 3-0 in the ODI series.
According to a PTI Report, KL Rahul perhaps blew his chance towards being a long-term captaincy option for Indian cricket team during the South Africa series. Rahul was one of the candidates for Test captaincy after Virat Kohli’s resignation, but a small sample size on the current tour of South Africa has brought an end to those plans as per reports.
