Following his interview, Ronaldo was let go by the Red Devils but the Portuguese star was already at the FIFA World Cup back then. After the World Cup, Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr for a whooping £ 170 million-a-year deal.

Garcia was commenting following the team’s 3-1 loss against Al Ittihad in the Arabian Super Cup semifinals, in which Ronaldo was held scoreless. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United great has played in one Saudi Pro League match for the club but has yet to score. Ronaldo obtained a transfer to Saudi Arabia in December after mutually terminating his contract and losing the support of United manager Erik ten Hag. The former Red Devil, who was denied a dignified farewell from Old Trafford, is said to have invited his former United teammates to watch Al-Nassr play. In their upcoming match, Al-Nassr, Ronaldo’s club will go to Al Fateh on Friday, while his old United teammates will play Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

But Ronaldo has been in steady touch with his former Manchester United teammates. According to reports, in a bid to formally say a proper goodbye, Cristiano Ronaldo is trying to arrange a meeting with some of his closest Manchester United teammates. CR7 is planning on a summer get-together with a couple of his friends at his gorgeous home which has been built on the outskirts of Lisbon.
