Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns presented a Top-notch match. The two WWE Superstars gave their absolute best to the match. Also, there were interference from Solo Sikoa, The Usos, Paul Heyman during the match. Though Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn came out to aid Cody Rhodes, but it all went in vain. Towards the end of the match, Paul Heyman distracted the referee and Solo Sikoa delivered a Samoan Spike to Rhodes. Following it, Reigns delivered a spear to retain the WWE Universal Championship.

However, Triple H appeared in the post-show conference. There he praised Cody Rhodes and mentioned that the story is not finished yet. He said that the story would continue on the following episode of Monday Night Raw.
