The day of Roman Reigns’ upcoming WWE Universal championship match has been set. According to earlier rumours, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, would host the “Night of Champions” pay-per-view event on May 27. The WWE executives made the announcement regarding the illustrious event. Another “pay-per-view” event, Backlash, is scheduled to take place before of this huge event on May 6 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as the fans excitedly await the evening.

Notably, he last competed in a title match at Wrestlemania 39, where he successfully defended his title against Cody Rhodes in the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. He will then defend the championship on May 27 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in the Ring of Champions. There is no information available regarding his fight opponent, though.

Sami Zayn, though, has been mentioned as Reigns’ potential next challenger.

After defeating Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowmann “The Fiend” on August 30, 2020, The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, won the WWE Universal title in 2020. Notably, on March 27, 2023, Roman Reigns reached even another milestone by winning 1000 runs as champion.
