Ahead of the India vs Pakistan World Cup clash it has come to light that the Indian Cricket Team might play with a Saffron jersey. The BCCI top brass has also given their verdict on the matter. The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash is slated to take place on 14th October in Ahmedabad. There were reports that India could don the saffron jersey but BCCI Treasurer denied the news.
“We categorically dismiss the media reports that India will be donning an alternative match kit against Pakistan. These reports are absolutely baseless & work of someone’s imagination. The Men in Blue will sport India colours – Blue at ICC Cricket World Cup 2023” said Honorary Treasurer of BCCI Ashish Shelar.

The Indian Cricket Team has a new training jersey that is saffron in colour which the Men in Blue are donning for the ongoing ICC World Cup. But with the BCCI top brass clearing the issue that India won’t be wearing the saffron jersey, the matter comes to an end.
On the other hand, Both India and arch-rivals Pakistan started off their ICC World Cup 2023 campaign with wins. Pakistan defeated Netherlands in their opening game while India defeated the mighty Australians in Chennai.
Up next, Pakistan will take on Asian rivals Sri Lanka while India is slated to face Afghanistan before the two neighbors meet on 14th October for the mega showdown.
