Rob McElhenney put funny updates for Ryan Reynolds during FOUR-hour Wrexham game

During Wrexham vs. Philadelphia Union II, co-owner Rob McElhenney provided Ryan Reynolds with amusing updates during the four-hour contest.

Wrexham vs Philadelphia Union II: Wrexham’s final game of their US trip took four hours to complete in Philadelphia because to severe weather. However, co-owner Rob McElhenney poked fun at Ryan Reynolds, who was not there for the game!

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, one-half of the well-known ownership partnership in Wrexham, were spotted exchanging updates on Instagram. It took four hours to complete the whole Welsh team’s game versus Philadelphia Union II amidst rain and thunder.

“Hey Ryan, still at the match,” McElhenney posted on his Instagram page. “There was a little bit of a rain delay, by about four hours. For some reason, we’re still playing. In the UK you can probably still watch the rest of it. There are still some people shouting Wrexham, still lots of people that remain.”

Thanks to goals by Jeremy Rafanello for the American team and Tom O’Connor for Wrexham, the score was tied at one. At kickoff in Philadelphia, there was intense heat and humidity. However, conditions are about to change, and spectators have been advised to seek cover from torrential rain, lightning, and strong gusts.

Wrexham’s final match on their US trip was this one.The Welsh club has competed against some of the top football teams in the United States, including Chelsea and Manchester United. They defeated a youthful United team 3-1. They were defeated 5-0 by an almost full-strength Chelsea team.

As they get ready for their first Football League game in 15 years, they will return to the UK. On August 5, they host MK Dons at home.
