Nicolo Laurent, the current CEO of Riot Games shared his views on the future of the company. 2021 was a successful year for the company as it achieved many objectives. From League of Legends World Championship breaking viewership records, the worldwide release of Arcane, the official esports launch of Valorant and Wild Rift games, and also the introduction of various other projects. Important goals Riot Games wishes to achieve in the next five years

With a successful journey till now, Riot Games now plans to step up its goals and have a greater impact upon the gaming community.

  • Make a significant impact on the genres they are active: From PC MOBAs, Riot Games has expanded into card gaming with Teamfight Tactics, hero strategy with Teamfight Tactics, and mobile MOBAs with Wild Rift. Riot Games wishes to make these games more enjoyable and popular so that more players are attracted.
  • Build a larger and better community around the games: Riot Games wish to build a more engaging community that can enjoy the groundbreaking gameplay, game events, and other features from esports, TV, movies, music, live experiences, merchandise, and more.
  • Cultivate a better work environment within the company: Riot Games wish to make their work environment easier, safer, and more rewarding for their employees. This will allow the Rioters to take more bold, innovative, and creative risks to achieve more creative works and deepen the connection of the company to the players.
  • Become a global gaming company: Riot wishes to expand its workforce to make it more diverse. The Riot Games Headquarters in Los Angeles will seek out diverse talent in the best locations around the world.
  • Reinvent the broadcast experience of its games: Riot Esports will continue to lead the industry in reinventing what sports broadcasts can be. It will be creating new ways for viewers to actively participate and engage with the esports scene.
