Uttar Pradesh batter Rinku Singh is elated with his maiden call-up for India for Asian Games 2023. Playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rinku Singh enjoyed a breakout season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year.
Last week, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) picked a second-string roster to compete in the Hangzhou Asian Games in China.
Notably, with the top players preoccupied with the ODI World Cup at home, Ruturaj Gaikwad will captain the team.
Rinku Singh Invitation for China
Meanwhile, after receiving a national call-up, Rinku Singh’s happiness knew no bounds. At an event in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh last week, the KKR star asked his well-wishers to come to China for Asian Games 2023 as per the Hindi daily Hindustan.
Rinku Singh, who was attending a public event for the first after being selected, also discussed placing lighting at the Aligarh Sports Association (Mahua Kheda) Stadium so that day and night matches could be easily played.
Mr. Arjun Singh Fakira, secretary of Jadaun Riders, Yogendra Singh Bunty, and Sanjay Maheshwari, patron of Maheshwari Creative Club, all presented Rinku Singh with a plaque and a Radha Krishna souvenir.
Rinku Singh invited all of his cricket supporters to the Asian Games 2023 cricket matches in China. “Brother, I will bear all the expenses of your travel and stay. You must come,” Rinku told Arjun as per Hindustan.
