BCCI are confident that their plans for Stadium renovation will go smoothly. The Indian Cricket Board are planning Stadium repairs all around the country ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023. “No problem with monsoon. If you see, most of the renovations happen during monsoon in India as stadiums are mostly unused. We expect the works to be completed in September including the outfield work,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.IN.

The Wankhede Stadium is one of the more iconic venues in India. The ground hosted The 2011 World Cup final when India lifted the tournament.

As reported by InsideSport, BCCI have scheduled a special general meeting of the top brass in Ahmedabad. BCCI President Roger Binny, secretary Jay Shah will all be in attendance at the Narendra Modi Stadium for the IPL 2023 final. The meeting has a five-point agenda, with the Indian cricket board making preparations for the upcoming 50-over World Cup.

The 2023 World Cup is only 4 months away and the ICC is yet to release a schedule for the same. The 10-team tournament will be held across 12 venues, with BCCI set to finalise on a working group during the SGM meeting.
