Ranji Trophy 2022: Ranji to start on Feb 17, mandatory five-day quarantine, cap on squad size, Pujara vs Rahane in Ahmedabad

  • The Ranji Trophy comprises multiple teams representing regional and state cricket associations.
  • A total of 38 teams take part in the competition.
  • It has all 28 states of India and four out of eight union territories having at least one representation.
  • The teams have been divided into eight Elite Groups and One Plate Group.
  • Four teams will be in each Elite Group and six teams in Plate Group.
  • The Elite teams will play against each other and the Plate team will play against three teams from the group.
