Daniil Medvedev has looked in good touch in the past week. He entered the Qatar Open having won the ATP Rotterdam, which was his first ATP title this year. At Qatar, Medvedev began this campaign from the second round.
He sailed past Liam Broady in straght sets in the first round. In the quarterfinal, he dropped a set against Christopher O’Connell but managed to win the contest to enter the semifinal.
Aliassime is the second seed. He began the tournament with a three-set win against Jason Kubler in the second round. In the quarterfinal, he clinched a straight set win against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who is the seventh seed.

Andy Murray started the tournament with a three-set win against Lorenzo Sonego. In the second round, he faced a big challenge against fourth seed Alexander Zverev. He clinched a nail-biting 7-6, 2-6, 7-5 win against Zverev to reach the quarterfinal. Murray yet again won against unseeded Alexandre Muller in three sets to make it to the semifinals.
