The only domestic league in volleyball returned after a lengthy battle over rights and change in name to Prime Volleyball League. But that it helped Chennai Spartans qualify for the Asian Club Cup. In a fairytale run, Chennai Spartans reached their maiden Asian Club Cup semifinals on their tournament debut, raising hopes of many good things to come. This time, seven teams will compete for the title.

PVL 2022: 5 reasons to watch Prime Volleyball League
India’s first volleyball league: The Volleyball Federation of India will be coming up with their own Volleyball League. But for now, Prime Volleyball remains first and the only domestic league for Indian players.
Best place to showcase skills: The league will see participation from some of the top Indian volleyball players including Indian captain Karthik. These players have also represented the country at various international competitions including the Asian Games, Men’s Asian Championships and more. Some of the players to watch out for are Akhin GS, Ashwal Rai, Jerome Vinith, Amit Gulia, Ajithlal, Muthusamy and Pankaj Sharma.
Best chance to witness top international stars: Apart from top Indian players, the tournament will also see participation from some of the best international players including Olympians like David Lee who has been a champion at the 2008 Summer Olympics with the US Men’s National volleyball team and also won bronze at the 2016 Summer Olympics. More players like Luis Arias, Noah Taitano, Bruno Da Silva and Ian Satterfield will also look to captivate the Indian audiences with their power-packed performances.
