PUBG Mobile Ban in Afghanistan

Afghan Taliban-ruled Afghanistan is the latest country that is going to impose a ban on the popular Battle Royale title, PUBG Mobile. According to reports, The decision seems to have been taken after considering the highly intense and violent gameplay of the title. As per South Asia Index, the Afghan Taliban feels that  Tencent Games’ title promotes violence. As mentioned earlier, the intense gameplay is creating all sorts of problems for a few countries.

Afghanistan’s telecommunication and internet service providers have shared the information regarding the title’s the ban. Furthermore, they have been asked to follow the guidelines within the stipulated time. According to several reports, another popular video creation platform, TikTok would be blocked within the next 90 days.

Meanwhile, the Indian Government has already blocked the title twice. The recent one was ousted due to data sharing concerns. With these ongoing issues, PUBG Mobile is facing blockages in spite of its rapid growth. It remains to be seen how things pan out in the coming days.
