Moreover, 41 New Young Players have been nominated by all the teams.
The non-retained players will go under the hammer, when the Auction of PKL 9 takes place in Mumbai on 5-6th August 2022. Superstars like Pawan Sehrawat and Pardeep Narwal who have not been retained will highlight the much-anticipated auctions. Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh is the only foreigner to have been retained.

The Auction for ProKabaddi League 2022 will be held on the 5th and 6th of August in Mumbai. All the 12 teams will compete against one another to pick their players for the upcoming tournament.
What are the different player categories, and what are the base prices?
The players that will be auctioned have been divided into three different categories. These are Domestic, Overseas and New Young Players. Accordingly, these players will be grouped into 4 categories of A, B , C, and D. Each of these players will then be further sub-divided into categories of Raiders, Defenders, and All-rounders.
What is the base price of players under each of these categories?
Category A – INR 30 Lakhs
Category B – INR 20 Lakhs
Category C – INR 10 Lakhs
Category D – INR 6 Lakhs.
How much money can a team spend in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) auction?
All the teams have been allotted a fixed budget of 4.4 Crores. With his fixed money, each of the 12 teams will have to complete their squad. However, teams will have comparatively less money, after sending some of it to retain the previous year’s players.
What is the maximum pool strength for each team in Pro Kabaddi League?
Each team will have to have a minimum of 18 players in their squad. The Maximum squad strength that a team can have is of 25 players.
