As the league winners, Manchester City start the season with an away fixture against Burnley. Burnley were The Championship 2022-23 winners, so they have been promoted to the Premier League this season. Two other clubs who have been promoted along with Burnley are Luton Town and Sheffield United. Along with Liverpool, Manchester United will also have a somewhat difficult start to the season. They will have somewhat easier home matches against Wolves and Nottingham Forest. However, they will be facing Spurs and Arsenal on the road in their first two away matches.
Man United will have tricky fixtures again in December when they host Bournemouth and Chelsea. Then they face West Ham, Liverpool, and Newcastle United on the road. Additionally, the Red Devils are hoping to get far into European competitions this year. Hence, it will again get tricky for them in early April when they host Chelsea and then travel to face Liverpool within 4 days. On the other hand, Liverpool will also start with two tough away fixtures against Chelsea and Newcastle United.
Next, they will have to stress again in late December when they will have some particularly difficult fixtures. They will host Man United, Arsenal, and Newcastle United in almost successive fixtures. Whereas, Arsenal had the opportunity to start last season with a run of winning streaks.
However, that is about to change this season as they will have a run of tough 8-game fixtures. They will start the season against Fulham, Crystal Palace, and Nottingham Forest. However, from then on, they will start a run of 8-match tough fixtures that will include matches against Newcastle United, Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Man United.
