Pokemon GO Sinnoh Cup: Overview
Sinnoh Cup is a tournament in which only Pokémon with a maximum of 1,500 competition points (CP) is allowed to compete, just like the Great League tournament. Apart from this, an additional limitation is also present where only a Pokemon monster whose Pokedex ID falls in between #387 and #493 is allowed to be used here.
This extra restriction has made all the regular Great League metas inoperative. Pokemon trainers now have to come up with a new strategy to excel and win the Sinnoh Cup.

Pokemon GO Sinnoh Cup: Tier List
Here are the different tiers for which you have to choose an appropriate Pokemon from the allowed category.
- Lead Pokemon: It is the first Pokemon that you will use against your opponent. Since it will be for testing the waters, you need to select that Pokemon that has well-balanced attack and defense stats. Get a shield for this Pokemon of your choice, if you want it to fulfill this responsibility perfectly.
- Switch Pokemon: It consists of the Pokemon that comes to compete after you swap out your first Pokemon. You may either choose a counter option here for the Pokemon that has a high chance to beat your Lead Pokemon. It is better to equip the Swap Pokemon with at least one shield or ideally both of them. Choose the best possible Pokemon from your collection for this role.
- Closer Pokemon: This Pokemon is your last stand and final backup option. It is recommended to go for that Pokemon from your collection who has exceptionally high defenses and becomes the bulkiest option in your line-up. You must also ensure that this Pokemon also has some ways to deal high damage. They do not require any shields.
