With the kind of stance he has, he was never thought of as a potential world-beater. His bowling was his stronger suit. But the 2013 Test series in India was the turning point as he scored a score of over 90 in his comeback Test and never looked back. Check Steve Smith Test Record, ODI Record, T20 Record, IPL Record, IPL salary, News, Career, Age, Delhi Capitals (DC), IPL 2021
Steve Smith’s International Debut: On February 5, 2010, Smith debuted for Australia in a T20 match against Pakistan. At the time, he was considered a leg-spinner who could bat a bit.
Steve Smith’s Test Record: Smith is on his way to becoming one of the all-time great batsmen in Test cricket. His average of 61.80 is exceptionally high and he already has 27 centuries to his name. He has enjoyed a lot of success, especially in Ashes series and also against India.
Steve Smith’s ODI Record: Smith was initially not a very impressive player in ODIs. He was hardly able to pick up important wickets and batted too low in the line-up to make much of an impact. However, once his Test career took off, his ODI batting too went to another level and he has kept getting better since then.
Steve Smith’s T20 Record: This is one form of the game where Smith is least effective. His place in the team is not certain but no one would be willing to write him off at the moment. He may well establish himself in this format too, in the future.
Steve Smith’s IPL Record: Smith has been making an impact in IPL also. Not only does he contribute with the bat, he almost captained a team – Rising Pune Supergiants – to an IPL trophy in the 2017 edition. Despite his unorthodox style, Smith remains a very popular player among IPL teams.
