While he does possess the doosra, Bhajji’s success was mainly due to strong basic skills. Harbhajan Singh’s International Debut: Bhajji first played international cricket way back in 1998. This match was against Australia, a team with which he will have many run-ins in the future.
Harbhajan Singh’s Test Record: With 417 wickets, Harbhajan is the third-most successful bowler in Indian cricket history. What is more impressive is the fact that he troubled Australia when they were at the peak of their powers. His career began to wane 2010 onwards and eventually, he lost his place in the team.
Harbhajan Singh’s ODI Record: Even in the limited-overs format, Harbhajan was a match-winner. Though he didn’t get to 300 ODI wickets in his career, he played a key part in India’s World Cup victory in 2011 and also the 2003 World Cup campaign where India reached the finals.
Harbhajan Singh’s T20 Record: Though he played in the 2007 World T20 which India won, Harbhajan could never become as adept in the shortest format as he was in the other two. He ended up playing just 28 matches in this version.
Harbhajan Singh’s IPL Record: Harbhajan started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians and played a part in their success. Though he didn’t become the spin-bowling star that someone like Rashid Khan or Sunil Narine did, he was a very valuable player who had decent results regularly.
