Dinesh Karthik handed over him the captaincy responsibility amidst his declining performances to Morgan in between the season. Morgan is a destructive and explosive batsman in the middle-order. He has experience of over 100 T20I matches and of over 60 IPL matches. With a holder of such vast experience, his value to the KKR dug-out cannot be put into words. He is probably one of those few players who have represented two nations- Ireland and England. He first made his international debut for Ireland and then afterwards went on to play for the 3 lions. Under Morgan, England has won its first-ever World Cup in 2019 and now Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be hoping that Eoin Morgan steers his franchise to yet another IPL title. Eoin Morgan’s International Debut: Eoin Morgan made his international debut for Ireland in ODI cricket but later went on to make his Test and T20I debut for England in 2010 and 2009 respectively. Morgan hasn’t featured in Test cricket since 2012 as he has completely spawned into a limited-overs batsman.

Eoin Morgan’s Test Records: Morgan doesn’t have much to talk about his International Test cricket as he has played only 16 matches scoring a total of 700 runs. Also, Morgan is out of England’s Test Cricket schemes.

Eoin Morgan’s ODI Records: Morgan’s batting prowess in limited-overs cricket is reflected by his ODI stats. Captaining the England side, Morgan has won the first-ever World Cup title for England in 2019. He has a total of 7620 runs in 243 matches with 14 centuries included in it.

Eoin Morgan’s T20I Records: Regarded as one of the best players in T20 cricket, Morgan has played over 100 matches in T20 cricket. England’s middle-order backbone, Morgan has the ability to turn the game on his head and can win you games single-handedly.

Eoin Morgan’s IPL Records: In IPL 2021, Morgan will be seen leading the Kolkata Knight Riders team as well. Although Morgan’s stats in IPL don’t reveal the true picture of his potential as he hasn’t been able to play in IPL on a regular basis. In 66 matches, a total of 1272 runs is not what Morgan himself will agree to. He has a lot to prove in IPL and maybe IPL 2021 will be his season.
