Though he has never been a regular member of the Australian team, he has achieved enough success in T20 cricket to be of value to the teams he represents. Andrew Tye’s International Debut: Not surprisingly, Tye made his international debut in the shortest format of the game, in 2016. He has manged to represent his country in 28 T20I games, the last one of those coming late last year. While he has taken a reasonable number of wickets, his economy rate of near-9 is not very appealing.

Andrew Tye’s ODI Record: Tye got his opportunity to play for Australia in ODIs during their home series against England in 2018. He got another opportunity later that year against the same opponents but in their country. For the 5-match series in England, Australia had a second-string bowling attack and Tye got to play in that. But he suffered the onslaught of England in the match where they scored 481/6, conceding 0/100 in 9 overs. He hasn’t played since.

Andrew Tye’s T20I Record: In the T20 format, the 34-year old has enjoyed the most success. His 28 matches have yielded 39 wickets. But he has failed to contain runs and goes for an economy rate of close to 9. This has prevented him from becoming a regular member of the squad.

Andrew Tye’s IPL Record: IPL has been a happy hunting ground for Andrew Tye. His first two seasons in the league, 2017 and 2018, were very productive. in fact, he picked up a 5-fer in his debut match of IPL. In 2018, he even won the Purple Cap. However, he has played very little in the last two seasons and has picked up even fewer wickets.
