PKL Eliminator LIVE: UP Yoddhas vs Tamil Thalaivas LIVE, Bengaluru Bulls vs Dabang Delhi LIVE: After 10 weeks of intense action, playoff battle is all set to begin on Tuesday, 13th December 2022. With Jaipur Pink Panthers and Puneri Paltan having already advanced to the semifinal after finishing at the Top 2 spots on the points table, the remaining four teams will play in the eliminator. In the first match on Tuesday, Bengaluru Bulls will face defending champions Dabang Delhi. UP Yoddhas will then face Tamil Thalaivas at 8.30 PM. Bengaluru Bulls are one of the most consistent sides in the league. Throughout the league they were at the top half consistently and finished the league stage at the third spot with 13 wins, eight losses and 1 tie. They have 74 points on the board. They are looking to maintain the form as they face defending champions Dabang Delhi in the eliminator.

Bharat has been the top-scorer for the Bulls with 257 raid points, while Vikash Kandola and Neeraj Narwal have chipped in with 117 and 88 raid points respectively. On the defensive side, Saurabh Nandal has been the top tackler for the Bulls with 63 tackle points. Aman and Mahender Singh have also contributed for the Bulls with 54 and 41 tackle points respectively. They enter the contest after losing their last league game against U Mumba 36-30.

Dabang Delhi K.C managed to seal the playoff spot by winning their last league game against Bengal Warriors. The defending champions had a great start to the season, but midway through the league, they lost steam and struggled for victories. However the team managed to enter the playoffs and now aims for a spot in the semifinal.

Captain Naveen Kumar will hope to be at his best as he looks to add to his 246 raid points this season,. He is entering the contest on a good form, having picked up 16 raid points in his last outing. His form will be crucial to the team’s success. Meanwhile, Ashu Malik (135 raid points) has been the next best raider.

In defence, Vishal (58 tackle points) is their main weapon, while Krishan (34 tackle points) has also shown his potential. The experienced Sandeep Dhull (30 tackle points) and Amit Hooda (29 tackle points) have also shone with their tackles in recent games.

Dabang Delhi K.C.

Tamil Thalaivas meanwhile started the season on a very poor note as they managed just a solitary victory in the first leg of the tournament in Bengaluru. They faced a big blow in their first ever game of the season that saw their skipper Pawan Sehrawat suffering an injury that saw him stretchered off the mat. He was ruled out of the entire season soon.  There was also a change in coaching personnel as coach Udhayakumar withdrew himself from the league after the first leg. Ashan Kumar was appointed as the team’s new coach and this move paid rich dividends as the team made a terrific comeback in the season.

They started winning consistently and slowly and steadily rose up in the points table. Raiders Narender Hoshiyar and Ajinkya Pawar put in memorable performances as they collected 220 and 114 raid points respectively. In defence, Sagar and Sahil Gulia picked up 53 and 51 tackle points respectively as these performances helped the team enter the playoff for the first time in the history of the league.

Tamil Thalaivas

Raiders: Ajinkya Ashok Pawar, Jatin, Himanshu, Himanshu, Narender

Defenders: Sagar, Ankit, M. Abishek, Ashish, Md. Arif Rabbani, Himanshu, Mohit, Sahil, Arpit Saroha

All-Rounders: Visvanath V., Thanushan Laxmamoha, K. Abhimanyu

UP Yoddhas meanwhile have entered their fifth straight playoff in the Pro Kabaddi League. The team led by Pardeep Narwal finished the season at the fourth spot on the points table with 12 wins, eight losses and two ties. UP Yoddhas bowed out from the semifinals in the last season and this time they are aiming to better that performance.

Record-breaker Pardeep Narwal, who had a poor season last year got back to his absolute best in this edition as he is the team’s leading raider with 208 points. He has received good support from Surender Gill, who has scored 132 points. However he is currently injured and has missed the team’s last few matches. In defence, Sumit and Ashu Singh have collected 49 and 47 points respectively.

U.P Yoddhas
