Rahul batted magnificently and scored his first half-century of the season. Amidst this milestone, KL Rahul completed two more feats and crossed 2000 runs as an IPL skipper while also passing over 4000 IPL runs. He played according to the situation but couldn’t finish the job for the side. He scored 74 off 56 balls and was the 6th batter to get out, and from here onwards, LSG lost momentum.
“Yeah the ball was falling around me a lot today and it was good that I took the responsibility well. Sam told me that we need tall fielders at the boundary line.
I think earlier on we saw the wicket and it was dry. I think the wicket will get better as the dew was setting in. Sam was telling me that it was skidding a bit. I think it will help us a lot. Quite a lot, quite a lot [on the dew, brushes the grass and shows the wet hands towards the camera]. I think if we bat smartly in the first few overs and take it to the deep, we should be able to do it,” PBKS batter Shahrukh Khan said in mid-innings break.
